Teamspeak for n00bs
Getting the Teamspeak client
- Go to http://www.teamspeak.com/ and download the client for your Operating System
- Install the client. (when in doubt, click next)
- Run the client (should be an icon on your desktop, and/or your start menu)
Configuring the client
Initially, when you run the client for the first time, it should walk you through the setup, but I will provide you with some info to help
- Choosing your Nickname
- Make this the name of the promary character you use in EVE
- Microphone Settings
- Set the option to "Push To Talk"
- Set the key to whatever button you want to activate your microphone. I suggest using the RIGHT ALT
- Test your microphone
- This is pretty well self explanitory, but to get the best results, use a set of headphones to reduce feedback.
- Useful Key Bindings
- Speaker Mute: No Hotkey Assigned
If you use several sounds cards, or USB Headphones.

Connecting to the UNAS Teamspeak Server
For the first time
- Start TeamSpeak if you haven't already
- Select Connection - Connect from the menu.
- Address: unas.necrosoft.ca
- Port: 9987
- Nickname: <your eve character name>
- Password: <blank>
- Click the Connect button
Using Bookmarks
- To create a bookmark
- Connect to the UNAS Teamspeak server
- Click Bookmarks - Add to Bookmarks from the top menu
- Teamspeak should automatically create a bookmark using your current settings
- Click the Ok button
- To connect to a bookmark
- Start up Teamspeak
- Goto Bookmarks in the top menu
- Click the UNAS TeamSpeak Server in the list
