Teamspeak for n00bs

Getting the Teamspeak client

  1. Go to http://www.teamspeak.com/ and download the client for your Operating System
  2. Install the client. (when in doubt, click next)
  3. Run the client (should be an icon on your desktop, and/or your start menu)

Configuring the client

Initially, when you run the client for the first time, it should walk you through the setup, but I will provide you with some info to help

  1. Choosing your Nickname
  2. Microphone Settings
  3. Test your microphone
  4. Useful Key Bindings

If you use several sounds cards, or USB Headphones.

Connecting to the UNAS Teamspeak Server

For the first time

  1. Start TeamSpeak if you haven't already
  2. Select Connection - Connect from the menu.
    1. Address: unas.necrosoft.ca
    2. Port: 9987
    3. Nickname: <your eve character name>
    4. Password: <blank>
  3. Click the Connect button

Using Bookmarks

  1. To create a bookmark
    1. Connect to the UNAS Teamspeak server
    2. Click Bookmarks - Add to Bookmarks from the top menu
    3. Teamspeak should automatically create a bookmark using your current settings
    4. Click the Ok button
  2. To connect to a bookmark
    1. Start up Teamspeak
    2. Goto Bookmarks in the top menu
    3. Click the UNAS TeamSpeak Server in the list
